Opens even when the browser locks the door
Some phones block local storage (private mode, tracking protection). Still Here used to fall over on that. It now fails closed: no watchlist is read, nothing extra in that slot is trusted, and the app still opens in safe mode. There are no secrets on this device to steal — only species ids you chose to watch.

Safe mode, every visit
Still Here now opens quiet. Background sound does not resume itself. Pocket alerts never fire just because you opened the app — they wait until you turn them on. Type is served from this origin, not from a font company. Species portraits stay here; Wikipedia and iNaturalist are not fetched in the background. Links you follow off-site do not carry the page you came from. Privacy has a control to wipe this device.

A card for each animal
Sharing a species page now carries that animal’s portrait. The home card is still the forest desk. Privacy and a not-yet-real account page went up the same day.
